I like to define my photography as “fashionable” storytelling.
My vision is scarred by a short bath in today’s fashion environment, which I hate but worship at the same time because of its beautiful aesthetics. However, it brought me to understand that it's not what I want and support. What I want is to tell stories, stories that are relatable, interpretable, helpful.
My goal is to undress people of their life experiences and expose them to a binder of emotions. Gently “intrude” in their life and into what it is that makes them who they are and document it in a way that represents it; being either a transposition of reality or pure fantasy.
Sometimes a tale, or concept, needs a little tweak in order to be delivered. And I enjoy creating the conditions to make it happen.
I am mostly fascinated by people and bodies, often focusing on details and portraits.
They connect me to people, in particular with analog photography which, being a slow process, allows me to get to spend more time composing the scene, the frame and as a consequence, it leads me to create a more intimate and temporary relationship with the people on the other side of the camera.
